Air India Ahmedabad Plane Crash : At least 265 Killed; Lone Survivor

Ahmedabad :An Air India flight en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick crashed shortly after takeoff on Thursday, striking the BJ Medical College hostel in Ahmedabad. The Boeing 787-8 aircraft, operating as flight AI 171, had 242 passengers and crew on board.

According to Air India’s official statement on social media platform ‘X’, the passengers included 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, one Canadian national, and seven Portuguese nationals. The flight departed Ahmedabad at 13:38 hrs local time.
