Ajman, UAE: In a major step towards advancing preventive healthcare and healthy ageing, Thumbay Group has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Geneva College of Longevity Science (GCLS), Switzerland, to introduce the UAE’s first structured academic programmes in Longevity Medicine.

As part of the collaboration, Gulf Medical University (GMU) will become the first private medical university in the UAE to offer internationally developed academic and professional education in the emerging field of Longevity Medicine.

The partnership will also establish the Thumbay Institute of Longevity Medicine, a dedicated centre focused on education, research, innovation, and professional development aimed at promoting healthy ageing and extending healthspan through evidence-based medical practices.

Under the collaboration, six internationally designed professional certificate programmes will be introduced in association with GCLS. These include Clinical Longevity Medicine, Longevity Physiotherapy, Longevity Nutrition, Longevity Fitness, Peptide Medicine, and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.

The initiative aligns with the UAE’s strategic vision of becoming a global leader in preventive healthcare, medical innovation, precision medicine, and healthy ageing while preparing healthcare professionals with specialised expertise in longevity sciences.

Admissions for the inaugural 2026–2027 academic batch are now open, with the first intake scheduled to commence in September/October 2026.

The partnership marks a significant milestone in medical education in the region and is expected to strengthen the UAE’s position as an international destination for advanced healthcare education and innovation.
